Over the weekend I modified the cup holders in my car with LEDs. I’ve seen other examples with bright LEDs affixed to the center of the holders. I’m not a big fan of super bright LEDs in my car because it’s just too distracting. I like my LEDs to give off a soft and moody glow.

I decided to do something cool and make it look like glowing rings. Instead of just having the LEDs naked in the cup holders, I took the clear CD/DVD discs that usually comes in spindles and cut them down to size. To diffuse the light, I sanded  the bottom of the discs with 500 grit sand paper. I then cut 2 circle carbon fiber vinyl to cover the LED light in the middle.

I used red LEDs with 1/8 watt 680 Ohms resistors.

Yea, I’m a ricer.

Added front brakes to my Dahon Speed uno for extra stopping power. Also, my bike looks like it has a face with my front light setup.

Took my new bike to Shore Road today.

I BSEL modded my Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 from 2.2ghz to 2.9! This is so much easier than manually overclocking it in the Bios.
To keep the foil in place, I used a needle to carefully put a very small amount of super glue on the edge. Once the glue is dry, I cut off the excess end of the foil.

The weather in NY is finally getting warmer! Now I can finally get some nice shots of my Deluxe Big Guy action figure I got during the winter.

I miss watching awesome cartoons like this growing up. If you don’t know who the Big Guy is, he’s a character designed by Frank Miller.
